Mr. Holland has extensive trial experience in complex civil cases. He has represented plaintiffs and defendants in federal, state, appellate and bankruptcy courts and administrative forums in matters involving high tech trade secrets; employment disputes; gender, race and handicap discrimination; non-competition agreements; intellectual property disputes including trade name infringement and misappropriation of proprietary business plans; personal injury, real estate matters; fraudulent conveyances; zoning issues and actions to collect on promissory notes and guarantees. He has successfully defended clients against civil enforcement actions brought by the Justice Department, DEA, OSHA, Labor Department and IRS and defended clients against criminal charges of embezzlement, mail fraud, wire fraud and fraudulent investment schemes. He represented a client in a case against the federal government that resulted in the largest verdict ever against the government for wrongful imprisonment. The total verdict was $101 million.
