Alan Kowalczyk has extensive multi-jurisdictional state and federal civil litigation experience. Since joining the firm in 2003, he has concentrated his practice in managing litigation in a wide array of areas for large corporations facing numerous legal issues throughout the United States. His experience in overseeing litigation and coordinating with local counsel has enabled his clients to minimize both expense and disruption of business in addition to achieving the best possible results through a dismissal, settlement or trial.  In addition, he also represents his clients in both federal and state courts in Massachusetts and Rhode Island.  He has significant experience in appellate procedure, appellate level research, analysis and critical brief writing.

Mr. Kowalczyk also personally investigates catastrophic accidents in their immediate aftermath throughout the United States and works with the firm’s nationwide group of battle tested experts in the fields of accident reconstruction, biomechanics and medicine, thereby ensuring the highest quality investigation is conducted.  This critical initial approach has saved his clients millions of dollars in litigation costs throughout the years.  In addition to providing assistance with existing litigation, he routinely provides his clients with advice concerning current legal developments which may impact litigation, such as analysis of legislative action or other legal developments.

Prior to coming to LMC, Mr. Kowalczyk gained valuable experience in personal injury, premises liability and products liability defense at two Fortune 500 companies. He has also handled general corporate matters, real estate and trust and estate work. He is licensed to practice law in Massachusetts and Rhode Island.
